The Essence of Motherhood and Nature in Paintings

The essence of nature is regeneration of life- the never-ending cycle of life and birth, which is often related to the beauty of motherhood. Dr. Neelu Sharma endeavors to color this elegance and beauteous in her paintings. An array of her paintings and sculptures are being exhibited in Tansen Kala Sachiv, Gwalior for three days from 11am to 7pm.

The solo exhibition of painting: My Imagination include 75 paintings and 7 sculptures portraying nature, motherhood, the girl child, national heritage and sculptures from best out of waste. The event was inaugurated by Nagar Nigam Commissioner Mr. Vinod Sharma. The collection of paintings are indeed a mosaic of creativity and cognition using many different coloring techniques like smoke effect, wash painting and scratch and brush effect.

Neelu Sharma, Ph.D. Agra and M.Phil. in Drawing and Painting says she draws her motivation from her father, who was an artist himself. She also feels inspired from mother nature, the embody of feminine beauty, the literature and heritage of India and her art is evident of this as the exhibition encompass paintings from nature to Ajanta’s caves, from a peasant to meghdut, from starry nights to smoky storms.
