Robot nurses to take care of COVID 19 patients

The state government has found a unique way to keep the control of Corona positive cases increasing in Tamil Nadu. The state government is emphasizing, that at least human touch should be given during the treatment of corona positive or corona suspected people.

With this, doctors and medical staff engaged in the treatment of these patients can be saved from this infection. However, the state government has enough PPE available for hospital workers engaged in the treatment of Corona positive people. Despite this, the state government is laying great emphasis on how to reduce human touch.

In this sequence, robots are now being used to care for corona positive people at Stanley Hospital in Chennai. The facility was inaugurated by State Health Minister Vijay Bhaskar. These robots are used to deliver medicines, food, etc. to corona positive patients. Three robots are currently being used in the hospital for this purpose. 7 more robots are yet to come to the hospital. After this, the total number of robots will be 10. The name of this robot is “Jafigo”.

According to hospital management, about 95 such people are admitted here, who are corona positive and suspected. Of these, 19 are people who are positive patients. Significantly, there are 14 such Corona positives that are related to Tablighi Jamaat in New Delhi. Two people positive in Steeley Hospital have died recently. One of these people came back from the Tablighi Jamaat. That person was about 60 years old. The second person, who is 71 years old, was a businessman by profession who recently returned from Dubai. He had given false information to the state government that he had returned from traveling abroad, a long time ago. But government agencies caught up with it and advised him to stay at the home quarantine.
