Recently, Infodea had reported about 30 laborers trapped in Perambur were having food problems after the lockdown was imposed. The food and drink they had, was gone. For the past few days, these people were forced to go hungry.

After reading this news, some North Indians living here have come forward to help them.

Perumbur Jain Sangh, took quick action, pledged to provide food to these trapped migrant laborers. He told me that he has been engaged in helping such people since the initial day of lockdown. He urged the media to inform them about such trapped people, not only in Chennai but about such trapped laborers across the state.Ajit Lodha, Perumbur Jain Sangh

Since the lockdown took place across the country, the daily wage laborers who came from different states to work in different parts of the country were also caught. Due to this lockdown, their work also stopped and they started having problems eating and drinking. About 30 laborers, who came to work from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal in the Perambur area of Chennai also fell victim to this lockdown. He said he will try to extend all possible help to such people with the help of Jain Sangh.

The trapped workers in Perambur had told that the money they had for two to four days after the lockdown worked, but after that their money was also exhausted. When these people asked their boss to make some arrangements, they gave their helpline number to the state government and set their foot down. Even these people did not get any facility from the helpline number and they are forced to die hungry.
