VIT Chennai inks pact with Tech company

As a part of building an effective Industry-Academia interaction with a win-win approach, VIT University Chennai and Datanet Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd Bengaluru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently. The MoU was singed between Sankar Viswanathan, Vice President VIT Chennai and Lakshmi Narayanan Ramanujam, CEO, Datanet Techno Solutions,Bengaluru.
The scope of MOU includes assignment of consultancy project, product development, train students, program development and research in the areas of Data Mining, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Computational Intelligence, Cyber Physical Systems, Semantic Web Technology, Wireless Networking, Information Security, Cloud Computing, Image Processing, IOT etc.
As a part of MOU, Datanet Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd has assigned the consultancy project entitled “Development of Recommendation System for Financial Advisors” to Dr.R.Parvathi. and Dr.V.Pattabiraman, School of Computing Sciences and Engineering (SCSE).
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of Datanet Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru Lakshmi Narayanan Ramanujam pointed out that the Datanet is an deep tech. company in Financial Technology space, using cognitive analytics (CA) for reputation assessment and artificial intelligence (AI) for building goal based personalized individual reputation capital. He expressed confidence that the collaboration with VIT will help research scholars with support and enable the students on real time industry access in the deep tech space.
Vice president of VIT University Chennai Sankar Viswanathna said that such collaborations bridge the gap between the institution and the industry, making students adapt to the industry and encourage them to explore the challenging IT ecosystem.
Dr. N. Sambandam, Pro – ViceChancellor, VIT Chennai, Dr.P. K. Manoharan, Additional Registrar, VIT Chennai, Dr. Vaidehi Vijaya Kumar, Dean of SCSE, Dr. V. Vijaya Kumar, Associate Deans of SCSE, Coordinators of the various research groups of SCSE and the faculty members of SCSE were present at the event.
