SRM University welcomed freshers

SRM University conducted its official event Shuru to welcome freshers at its campus recently. Shuru marks the beginning of college life for first year students who leave their nest for the first time. Organised by seniors, Shuru’s objective is to encourage new talent and budding leaders of tomorrow. Auditions were held to handpick the best from a large number of students for music, dance, drama and literary events. Shuru’s main event started off with a 5k Marathon at 5am in the Morning with a huge participation from the first year students. The main event comprised of performances by the first years and seniors from fashion, music, dance and drama. The event ended with the crowning of Mr& Miss Fresher 2017. The highlight of the evening was the screening of Bollywood movie Jab Harry met Sejal.
