Southern Railway Wins First Position

Southern Railway not only runs trains but also has potential to prove its talent in other fields. This proved true at Hotel Apollo Dimora in Thiruvananthapuram where All India Inter-Railway Quiz Competition was held, team from Southern Railway emerged winners in the contest.
Even as the participants were preparing to vie with each other, Sunita Vedantam, principal chief personnel officer, Southern Railway wished them all the best. Director general (personnel), Railway Board, Manoj Pande was the chief guest, he shared valuable insights.
It was not easy for the teams, they had to ponder over the answer for every question, give out the reply timely, else others would get the chance. If it was rapid fire, things were even more challenging. They had to think over the answer and give it out in even lesser time. Winning team moved ahead with determination and got the prize.
The team from Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai got the second position while the team from North East Frontier Railway, Guwahati stood third. All the participants received certificates and mementos.
The winner and runner up teams will be felicitated at the main national level function that will be organised as part of the 64th Railway Week Celebrations of Indian Railways to be held later.
