Awareness Rally on VOTING at Guduvanchery

As the Lok Sabha elections are nearing, NSS of SRM Institute of Science and Technology organizes an awareness rally on the importance and rights of VOTING to the public in the area of Guduvancherry between Srinivasapuram and Viswanathapuram recently as advised by Shri. Vallavan, DSP, Vandalur with the support of Dr. N. Sethuraman. The Registrar and Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Director (Eng’g. and Tech), SRMIST.
More than 120 NSS students participated in the rally. Welcome addressed was given by Dr. T. Rajasekaran, NSS Program coordinator and was inaugurated by Dr. Logaraj, Head, Community Medicine, SRMMC & RC. Lenin Kavirichelvan, President, Lions club of Alpha City participated along with the club members.
Refreshments were provided to the participants and volunteers. NSS volunteers were actively participated in the rally by raising slogans on the rights and importance of casting individuals vote for selecting their representatives. General public along with the local counsellors also joined the rally enthusiastically.
