‘We are not political tourists’, Priyanka Gandhi hits back at BJP
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi moves against the BJP on Sunday, over BJP’s statement that she was a ‘political tourist’.
Priyanka Gandhi said “This is BJP’s advocacy to represent me and my brother Rahul as non-serious politicians. I am not a political tourist. I have been regularly coming to Uttar Pradesh. We are not going to be intimidated down by it.”
“I agree that our organization is lacking the power as compared to other parties. We have been out of power here since 32 years. But without fail we are working and I am also privately working 24×7 with all districts units on building up our organization and the journey is long. She said when asked about the future of the congress in Uttar Pradesh.
When she had a casual interaction with media persons, Priyanka responds that the BJP continuously desiring to create a narrative about her and Rahul that they are not being serious politicians. “BJP government have generated a viewpoint that I have been away from UP for the last one and a half year as long as Fact remains that I turned out to be regularly attending Kisan panchayat and other programs,” she said.
Priyanka is on the third day of her visit to lockdown, said she is continuously trying to reach the maximum number of party workers and groups to meet them. “Everyone has my what’s app number and it is inaccurate to say that I am not accessible,” she said.
