DIY: From Rope to Chain

Belts are versatile. They go with all your outfits and helps to enhance the overlook. Various types of belts solve several purposes. While some are used to slim down the waist, others are used to make you look tall.

Be it any season, the belt is worn as a style statement. From fashion weeks to runways, the designer canā€™t do without displaying some extremely voguish belts to stand out.

Velvet Belt

A simple velvet Belt with bold buckle looks Classic. It can be styled with dresses, pieces of denim, and skirts. Color coordinates with your handbags for better appearance.

Supplies

Old buckle beltĀ 

Velvet fabric

Hot glueĀ 

Pair of scissors

Steps

Measure the necklace on your waist. It should be twice the size of your waist so that you can wrap it twice.

If you do not have that long necklace, simply join two together.Ā 

Use necklace hooks to join necklaces together. You can also use matching thread or steel wire. Use hoop earrings to make the buckle of the belt. Insert both ends inside the hoop and you are done.

Rope Belt

Rope Belt is a must-have in your summer collection this season. As they were ruling all the runways, it has to make in your wardrobe too.

Golden bangleĀ 

Steps

This is the easiest to make. Take your rope to fold it twice. Take the golden bangle, use your rope, and make a knot inside the bangle.

Tie another end to the bangle when you wear the belt.

Scarf BeltĀ 

We all have a silk scarf in our closet that we donā€™t wear anymore. Donā€™t waste them, instead use as a belt to accentuate your figure.

Old patterned scarfĀ 

Old buckle

Steps

Pass your scarf through the hole of the buckle. Measure your waist to finalize where you want to make holes on your scarf belt.

On the other end of the scarf using a sharp object make 4-5 holes. You donā€™t to be clean for this.
