The eggs are known for their high protein content and can be very helpful when it’s come to increased requirements for nutrients of the baby. Eggs yolk can be offered to a baby between the age of 8 – 9 months. As egg whites are known to cause allergic reactions in many babies, kids, and even kids. So, avoid egg white until the baby is one year old. The whole can be introduced only after the age of one year. Both the white and yolk of an egg are rich in nutrients, proteins, vitamins and minerals with the yolk also containing cholesterol, fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.

But there is a pretty big difference in calories between egg white and yolk. The yolk of a large egg contains 55 calories while the white part contains just 17 calories but the egg nutrition profile is about more than just its calories count. Protein is essential for babies growth, health and repair is also needed to make antibodies and enzymes. Egg yolk also contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids and this may help to reduce any disease. They are highly concentrated in the brain and be important for cognition and memory. For the growth of the children, eggs are the most important they are a great source of B vitamins especially B-2 and B-12. Vitamin B-12 is used by the body to make DNA it also keeps body nerve and blood cells healthy and protects from any disease and prevents a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia. Eggs are also a good source of selenium, calcium, iodine and phosphorus. Eggs boost parts of the brain important for learning and memory. To avoid any complications, one should try introducing cooked egg into their child’s diet slowly to monitor for potential reactions. Eating egg in their breakfast leads to a high protein breakfast, they can boost their child’s satiety levels and reduce hunger throughout the busy day. Pureeing or mashing a hard-boiled or scrambled egg, ensuring the texture is appropriate for your child’s stage of development. By the time, the child is about two years old and has been having eggs without any allergic reactions, you can start giving them daily.
