HCAS launch HIVE 2020

HCAS launched HIVE 2020, an interdepartmental virtual cultural extravaganza recently in the presence of its Director Dr. Susan Marthandan, Principal Dr. S Thirumagan, and noted fashion choreographer cum actor Karun Raman. The virtual ceremony was launched by the student council of HCAS and streamed live on Facebook and YouTube.

The Principal delivered the welcome address and appreciated the idea that led to the reality of HIVE 2020 online cultural extravaganza. In her presidential address, Dr. Susan Marthandan encouraged the effort and the active participation of the students from Electronic Media and Microbiology.

She said the college ranked 100 in India Today survey among the top 5000 colleges in the country and it was a morale booster to achieve more in the future. She said that the collaboration with Letsconnect paved the way for better teaching experience for the faculty through the virtual platform.

Dr. Susan Marthandan also cautioned people to be aware of COVID-19 pandemic and stressed to adhere to the government health department’s safety norms like wearing masks, cleaning hands with sanitizers, maintain social distancing and boost immunity by exercising and healthy eating.

The program ended with cultural performances like Bharathanatyam and western dance.
