The known gods on earth also known as Doctors. The field is so diversified that there are many different types of courses and takes a very long time and practice to be a doctor. That is why they are getting so much respect from the society.
To start a career in the field of medical in India, the student must have a sheer will and must be very focused with his/her mind set to perusing this degree. As India has a grade-based system the, journey of the dream career starts from class 10th as the marks are important to get science stream in 11th. There is a system that allows student to take science stream only if they are above 90% or 9.0+ CGPA holders. As it checks the ability of the student to take the pressure. If the student is eligible to opt for the subjects, then he/she is ready to go. Entering into the 11th class is just like taking a new admission in class 1st because of the newness in the subjects. Many schools have different subjects to offer to the students like Physics, Chemistry and Math’s (PCM) these are the subjects that students who have interest in the engineering field opt for. The student who’ve interest in the medical field opt for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or in special cases the students can opt for both Math’s and Biology as their subjects.
As soon as the students complete their 11th and 12th with good marks, they prepare for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam, which is conducted once every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Every year 60lakhs student take the test all over the country and the difficulty level of the exam can be determined by the name of the authority conducting it. The total marks of the question paper 700 marks in which if a student scores more then 500 marks can get a placement in any government colleges but this margin keeps on changing every year depending on the maximum marks obtained by the students. Many students clear the exam with the minimum passing criteria of 300 marks but still don’t get placed in any government colleges and then take a year drop to re prepare for the exam and do well the next time. The one’s who don’t take a drop they continue to opt for either a private college which will cost them around 1 crore or go to abroad like Russia and Ukraine like countries which costs them a half of the money as compared to India.
The students who study in government colleges in India has a very low fees as the government is paying their fees just around 10lakhs for 4 years. After the completion of the degree the students opt for their masters and then a specialization course and have to clear exams to get into a hospital as a certified doctor.
The students who complete their degree from other countries have a high value for their degree but just within the country they have completed their degree, in India the value of the degree from other countries is just a piece of paper like other degrees until and unless the students pass a very difficult exam and if they pass that exam, they can be a certified doctor.
There are many agencies that help the students to go abroad and study and generally the agencies are well connected with the other countries called Consultancy like NEO. They help students to get the students visa as soon as possible and guide them towards the future.
