VIT goes tech buzzy
Three day fest witnessing more than 150 events

Technology will remains the key word at VIT University (Chennai) currently as TechnoVIT-2018, the three day event is being celebrated with full enthusiasm. Starting from 6 of this month the event will go on till 8 and features more than 150 national and international events.
Ide-a-thon, Code-a-thon, Mechatron-a-thon and Hack-a-thon,the industry sponsored events that may lead to internship offers to the participants are a part of this three day mega event. The objective behind the event is to nurture professional skills and impart fine qualities among the students. The theme of the event is “Sustainable technology, Sustainable environment.”
The chief guest for the inauguration of the three day C.P. Ravikumar, Director, Talent Development, Texas Instruments (India) insisted on development of interdisciplinary work among the students. Solving the issues in the current scenario requires knowledge of various disciplines. While having a complete know-how of the field they are working in is needed, knowledge of developments in other segments will come in handy, he said.
The guest of honour N Saravanan, Principal Engineer, Smart Implements and Machinery and Sustainability, Mahindra World City highlighted that students must take up innovative work for the benefit of the society. N. Sambandam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, VIT, Chennai said that the fest enables the students to exploit their gamut of dexterous abilities that portray their talents to the outer world.
K Jamuna, the convenor, highlighted how technoVIT has grown over the years and has become bigger and better. Ravikumar released the e- magazine “techronicles” during the inauguration. P.K. Manoharan, Additional Registrar, VIT University (Chennai) was among others present.
