Velamen student excels at International level in Chess

It is celebration time yet again at Velamen Vidhalaya as a student of the Mel Ayanambakkim campus in amazing winning feat bagged gold medals in the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2018 at Thailand.
Master Ganesh D is a student of the seventh standard, he had participated in the championship conducted from the 1st of April to the 10th of April this year and secured the medals each respectively in the individual categories of Rapid and Blitz Open in the under 12 category
Competing with 1130 students from 26 countries is without a doubt a very arduous task but he managed to do it with utmost ease and perfection scoring 7/7 & 8.5/9 points in the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2018 and his unswerving effort did pay him back in the end.
His win was a moment full of pride and honor for the country as well as the school management which eulogized and congratulated him on his return for his incredible achievement.
