Students battle it out in Rann-Neeti

IIT Mandi turned into a battle field on the sporting front where sports persons from more than 35 educational institutions vied with each other to prove their mettle and emerge as a winners.
Mega sporting event ‘Rann-Neeti’ took place from 11 to 13 October where more than 1200 sports persons from Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab participated.
Athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, cricket, football, lawn tennis, table tennis, volleyball were held during the event organised by Sports Society of IIT Mandi.
Ram Lakhan, organizing secretary, Rann- Neeti said they are witnessing increasing numbers of participants with every edition of this annual sports fest and hope to see more athletes taking part in the upcoming years. This is the sixth edition of Rann-Neeti.
Rann-Neeti is a platform for budding sportsperson to showcase their talent on a grand scale. Throughout the event, students got to learn and grow while competing and polishing up their skills to grow as a sportsperson.
The event was completely managed by the students with support from IIT Mandi. Along with sports activities, Rann-Neeti also arranged exciting retreats for the athletes. Akash Gupta, stand-up comedian, Bingo Comedy Adda, and The Local Train band performed for the participants during the event.
