INN/Chennai, @infodeaofficial

These are the days of water crisis and efforts will be made to find a solution to the problem on a permanent basis, says T R Paarivendhar, member of parliament, Perambalur.

‘I intend to find a solution for the water crisis being faced across Tamilnadu,’ says Parivendhar reminding that he met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this regard.

The veteran educationist was in the news recently with regards to providing scholarship to 300 students from Perambalur. He spoke his views soon after that.

Water scarcity is an issue bothering not only Perambalur but a large part of Tamilnadu. I have requested Union Minister to make budgetary allocations towards linking the popular rivers Cauvery, Vaigai and Kundara, he said.

Linking the rivers will benefit 15 lakh farmers of seven districts, says Paarivendhar. We intend to generate awareness on water storage techniques among the larger sections. A campaign to achieve this is also being planned, he says.
