Motivating the Citizens on Civic Issues Through Media

CNN reported that the rough and heavy rains recently that claims 43 lives in Mumbai will be most likely lead the state government as well as the central government led by PM Modi to be concerned and will definitely take all preventive steps to save people’s lives by restoring normalcy and order in all possible ways. These incidents were amongst the many that was reported by the media to the citizen.

Media’s role will probably connect people and politicians thoughts and attention which will be focused on such issue and try to arrive to a solution amicably. It needs to alert relief workers and officials on civic issues so that proper steps will be taken. The government led by PM Modi may be the government that works but many developmental and smaller issues might be left out. He may be wanting to bring successful models of development as the American one but still media need to pay attention to local issues and problems plaguing people and bring to the attention of the officials so successful steps can be taken out.

And on the other hand, media needs to provide the government with citizen’s feedback and the government led by PM Modi must be transparent in its works through the betterment of its citizens in all aspects of life .It needs to set an agenda or give importance to issues as this and try to stir a debate to arrive at an amicable solution if possible. There are many issues in civic area and big government at center cannot intervene and local administration should take charge to provide solution and media need to serve as forum for debates to come about.

Civic issues as milk supply bus transport and proper roads deserve mention as during monsoon roads get repaired and such are happening. Milk supply is disturbed during sometime for some reason and roads need to be laid properly to ensure proper traffic. Many such civic issues need attention of policy makers and solutions got to be found. Rains play havoc on roads and during rains proper transport could not be maintained and this has to be ensured at all costs. Media’s role

Media need to play a role in civic administration and bring to attention the people’s problems and solutions got to be suggested to such problems. Civic issues are important and are directly related to people locally and solutions got to be suggested to them as for as possible. Media need to play a catalytic role in solving civic issues and media need to be given proper place in administration of civic justice at all costs. The local administrations in countries as the USA is strong and powerful groups exists to prevent bad legislations getting passed and media have been playing a role similar things are needed in Chennai and India to save people from the clutches of powerful government
