Wasim Jaffer as Uttarakhand coach is definitely a boost for cricket in that state

The former Indian opener Wasim Jaffar is appointed as the head coach of the Uttarakhand team by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) on Monday for the upcoming season.
Domestic right-handed opening batsman confirmed his appointment to PTI, stating his contact for the year.
This will be a first-time head coach role, of the highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy, who declared his retirement this March, after playing for more than two decades, for the domestic giants Mumbai and Vidarbha.
Talented cricketer Jaffar said “I am becoming the head coach of any team for the first time. It is very challenging and something new for me, straightaway after my playing career and I’m looking forward to it, ”
Accepting the challenge and motivating his team the 42-year old legend said “This is a new team, they have done well. They played the quarterfinals (of the Ranji Trophy in 2018-19 season) against Vidarbha. But they have gone back to Group D (Plate group), so it is going to be a big challenge. I am happy that I am starting from the bottom and for me, it is going to be a good experience, I have heard that a lot of talented players are coming from there. I am hoping to turn them into good players and (Uttarakhand) as a good team,”
Being in this field for very long he is very much experienced and has a great ability to handle a team.
Also, he had a good experience of being a coach and understands the mental state of the player and can recognize best out of someone, these some qualities of Jaffar will be a great help to the Uttrakhand team, who just lost Ranji Trophy in quarterfinals against Vidarbha.
Also, he had featured 31 tests and two ODIs for India and knows a playing technique experience which definitely gonna be a great opportunity to have Jaffar as their head coach for the Uttarakhand team.
Jaffar also added ” In my last five-six years, I have mentored youngsters; it is something which I enjoy, to be honest. I take a lot of happiness to help the youngsters and see them grow,”
One of the cricket industry’s men from Uttrakhand, Verma said applauding lines for Wasim “Wasim Jaffer has helped Mumbai and Vidarbha in becoming domestic champions. Apart from the domestic success, he has played some excellent knocks in international cricket matches as well. I am quite sure that his experience will come in handy for our state,”
Experience is always on top when it comes to guiding someone, More experienced the person is better he guides. And surely Wasim’s experience and knowledge will be a boost for the state which is now making their place in cricket history – Uttrakhand.
