Pattern in train services in Chennai to change from 10 October

The train services in Chennai will witness changes from 10 October 10 to 8 December owing to power block imposed to undertake engineering works on Chennai Egmore – Villupuram – Gudur section.

While owing to the power block changes will be made to service pattern of few trains, Southern Railway regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers owing to these changes and requests them to cooperate with Railways in ensuring smooth train operations. The changes are given below:

Partial cancelation
Train No. 12632 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Nellai Express commencing its journey from 9 October to 7 December is partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Egmore. This train will run from Tirunelveli to Tambaram.

Train No. 12662 Sengottai – Chennai Egmore Pothigai Express commencing its journey from 9 October to 7 December is partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Egmore. This train will run from Sengottai to Tambaram.

Train No. 56060 Villupuram – Tambaram Passenger commencing its journey from 10 October to
8 December is partially cancelled between Chengalpattu and Tambaram. This train will run from Villupuram to Chengalpattu.

Change in origin station
Train No. 12631 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Nellai Express commencing its journey from 10 October to 7 December is partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram and will depart from Tambaram instead of Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings.  

Train No. 12261 Chennai Egmore – Sengottai Pothigai Express commencing journey from 10 October to 7 December is partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram and will depart from Tambaram instead of Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings.

Train No. 12390 Chennai Egmore – Gaya Weekly Express commencing its journey on 15,22 and 29 October, 5,12,19 and 26 November, 3 December  starts from Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central instead of Chennai Egmore. This train will depart Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central at 7.25 am during these days.

Diversion
Train No. 12389 Gaya – Chennai Egmore Weekly Express commencing its journey on 13, 20 and 27 October, 3,10,17 and 24 November, 1 December is diverted to Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central instead of Chennai Egmore.

Passenger special
A passenger special will be run between Chengelpet to Tambaram, this will be leaving Chengelpet at 9:15am from 10 October to 8 December.
