Sri City salutes the spirit of the nation

Republic Day was celebrated across the country on 26 January with great fervour and Sri City, the well-know integrated business city located in Andhra Pradesh did not stay behind. The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
In a colourful ceremony held at the lawns of Business Centre Mrs. Bh. Vimala Kumari, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sri City unfurled the national flag and reviewed the impressive parade held by the contingents of Sri City security force.
Vimala Kumari said we are the world’s largest democracy, and our constitution has been the strength of our nation through its principals of equality and social justice.
Exhorting people to acknowledge the sacrifices of freedom fighters, she urged everyone to uphold the virtues of the constitution and abide by its tenets. She appreciated the efforts of Sri City Management for providing ample employment opportunities in a backward area.
Stating that Sri City offers a good environment for a happy, safe and peaceful living, she sought the cooperation of all in maintaining its serenity. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said he extended his hearty greetings and good wishes to the Sri City community on the occasion of 71st Republic Day.
‘I applaud our team for making Sri City as one of the best dream destinations for business in the country.’ Sri City, with the presence of 185 companies from 28 countries across the world, exemplifies globalisation and bettering the economy of the region with mass employment, he added.
Mr. C. Rameshkumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), Mr. A. Sanyasi Rao, General Manager (Coordination), a large number of employees, villagers and children took part in the event. Mr. Ramesh, Head, Security and Vigilance oversaw the ceremonial parade. Cultural programmes were also held. Republic day was also celebrated at the Development Commissioner’s office, IFMR/Krea University and IIIT campuses and at all the schools in Sri City villages.
