Voot Select’s: The Raikar Case

The Hindi series ‘The Raikar case’ was streamed on Voot select directed by Aditya Sarpodar starring Atul Kulkarni as Yashwant Raikar, Ashwini Bhave as the wife of Yashwant, Neil Bhoopalam as SP John Periera who investigates the case, Parul Gulati as Itasha, Kunal Karan Kapoor as Mohit, Ajay Purkar and Lalit Prabhakar as a politician and his son respectively. 

The story is a plot about the Raikar family living in Goa and its whodunit murder mystery.

The story starts from the scene when Tarun the youngest in the family was jumping down the hill, and it was said that he has committed suicide, but after an investigation by SP John he concluded that it was not a suicide but a murder.

And the story revolves to find that who has murdered Tarun and why?

Yashwant was the first subject of doubt because it may be a reason that he has murdered Tarun to take away all the property of his brother which was on Tarun’s name. Also, Yashwant had once sent a threatening message to Tarun.

But he confirmed that he sends that message because Tarun knew the secret about the affair of Yashwant and his mother, and he was left after his daughter Itasha confirmed that at the time of the murder he was at home. After Yashwant’s doubt goes on Lily Tarun’s mother but she was also found not guilty.

Itasha was quite close with Tarun, and Tarun use to discuss all his matters with Itasha only and it was found that before murder Tarun called Itasha 12 times but Itasha wasn’t able to attend the call.

By that time Itasha and the SP came close to each other and Itasha told John that in the last four years three members (Tarun, Tarun’s sister, and his father) of their family are been murdered but no proofs and evidence are out that who has done all these murders.

Then the doubt once goes on Eklavya politician’s son but was left because he and Tarun didn’t have any connections.

The story took a turn when Itasha found a camera in her garden, and she saw a recording in that camera there was a voice of a girl who was non-other than Tarun’s sister.

When Itasha was going to John to show him the camera, she got a call from an unknown number and Itasha was called at a lonely place by the girl who called Itasha.

When Itasha went there she saw that the girl who called her was Mini (Eklavya’s fiance) who was forced marrying Eklavya. 

Mini knew all the answers to the fill-in blanks of the story. She told Itasha that Eklavay and Tripti ( Tarun’s sister) had an affair and four years ago Eklavya murdered a girl and the Tripti was the only witness of the murder and from that day Tripti is missing.

To hide this secret from his son Rane ( Politician) asked Sakshi Yashwant’s wife for help and gave her bate that if she will help him, he will give her husband ‘Lok sabha’ seat and she helped Rane to murder Tarun’s father.

And, Tarun got to know that Rane and his son were involved in the murder of his sister and father and he called Itasha to tell her the whole story, but when she didn’t pick up the call he called her mother Sakshi.

Who was the one involved in the murders decided to murder Tarun and confirmed his husband’s Lok Sabha seat? Then Sakshi with her son Mohit murdered Tarun.

Sakshi and her son were arrested but Eklavya came to the spot and killed Mini and kidnapped Itasha and kept her at a secret place where she found that Tripti who was imprisoned there from the last four years.

The story is overall worth watching and has made the audience wait for the next season to know whether SP John will be able to release Itasha and Tripti or not?
