A Review to Irfan Khan’s JAZBAA

Jazbaa is a 2015 Hindi language Indian Crime thriller movie which is a remake of South Korean movie ‘Seven Days’. The film mainly stars Irfan Khan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles which Shaban Shaban Azmi, Jackie Shroff, Atul Kulkarni, and Chandan Roy Sanayal in supporting roles.
The film is basically based on the love of a mother for her daughter and the boundaries which a mother can cross for her daughter without thinking of the result and whether what they are going for is right or not.
Irfan here plays the role of an intelligent, honest police officer (Yohan) who was a school friend of Anuradha (Aishwarya Rai).
Aishwarya Rai plays the role of a famous, honest, lawyer Advocate Anuradha who is a single mother who left her in-laws family because of their non- acceptance of their baby girl Sanaya. Yohan loved Sanaya more than anyone else even more than a father.
A well-settled life of Anuradha and her daughter became hell when her daughter was kidnapped and Anuradha was blackmailed to defend a rapist Niyaz Sheikh who raped a girl named Sia and was arrested by Yohan. Anuradha was in trouble, and she decided to work according to the kidnapper and started investigating the proofs that can prove the rapist not guilty.
When Yohan got to know that Sanaya is kidnapped and Anuradha is being blackmailed by Kidnapper, he got anxious and investigated for all the shreds of evidence. Anuradha had just 7 days to prove Niyaz not guilty, she with help of Yohan succeeded in proving Niyaz not guilty and he was given bail from the jail.
Twist arrived at the end of the story when it was concluded that Sanaya was Kidnapped by nonother Sia’s mother (Shabana Azmi). She forced Anuradha to bail Niyaz from jail so that she could give him a harsh death similar to what her daughter Sia was given.
The film is a complete package of entertainment and suspense. The most interesting part of the movie is the investigation done by Yohan. Yohan (Irfan) has played a major role as a devoted police officer who loved Sanaya to the sun and moon. The movie also overlaps the hidden love of Yohan for her childhood friend Anuradha, which he never showcased.
A deep story of two mothers who were both on the wrong path but towards the right motive is a very interesting piece to watch.
