A Government Doctor Received The Deccan Dhavanthri Award

Dr. C. Natesan, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharathi Raja Hospital, T. Nagar is this year’s recipient of Deccan Dhanvanthri Virudhu Award. An annual award that features the world health care and it is usually given during the Annual Dhanvanthri Jayanthi Day and the awardee is chosen by the Divine Nadi reading given by Sage Sri Suka Brahma Maharishi. Dhanvanthi Jayanthi was observed at JYM Kalyana Mandapam , T Nagar , Chennai recently. It is celebrated annually since 1994.
With the Divine Blessings of Sri Suka Brahma Maharishi, the Annual Dhanvanthri Jayanthi Day is observed as a Divine festival by ‘the Sri Suka Brahma Maharishi Ashramam’ and its two organisations ‘Sukar Markandeyan Medical Research Foundation(Regd)’ and ‘Sri Sukar Markandeyan Charities(Regd)’. This Dhanvanthi Jayanthi is celebrated on the day coinciding with the Dhanvanthri’s (He is an avatar of Lord Vishnu ) appearance with Nectar on the Krishnapaksha Trayodasi day of Masi month from out of the churning of Paarkadal by Asuras and Devas.

The sacred rituals and aagama restrictions strictly followed by them are the yardstick of the ancient Sage Suka Munivar who only selects and gives the reading to Sri Kumaar Guruji, who would reveal the same to us, while being equally thrilled like us .
Sri S. Kumar Guruji ,his Divine Teacher ‘Gnana Vaasishta sigaram’ Sri Ramani Guruji, popular Actor –Producer and ardent devotee Sri S Ve Shekhar , Dr Kamalakar Rao and the main sponsor Deccan Estates Managing Director Mr. Nirmal Anraj Gadhia graced the occasion, which actually started with Swagatham Welcome rituals commencing a day earlier on followed by Dhanvanthri Homam for world welfare. It is interesting to note Dr Natesan was the first Doctor who surprised the entire State of Tamilnadu when he implemented the Polio immunization programs 100% to village children in all the villages within his jurisdiction during those days. He had the records of children. He is the only Government Doctor who single-handedly treated 300+ patients everyday with one special bus plying to and from his Village PHC. These facts were shared by him in his address to the gathering.
Presently he is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Bharathi Raja Hospitals of Chennai. This Hospital is believed to deliver greater service with such lower costs when compared to other hospitals of such size and multi-specialty services.
