Journalism is concerned with gathering and disseminating news and vital piece of information through electronic and print media. When it comes to journalism and mass communication as a career, there are pools of options that one can select from. Journalism is broadly classified under print media and electronic media.

If you have completed your journalism and mass communication degree then you have a booming career in a distinct field such as broadcast journalism, fashion journalist, content writer, visual communication, reporter, anchor, freelance writer, and so on.

Journalists gain specialization in distinct areas, such as economists, Politics, investigation, finance, sports, culture, and periodicals. You can consider journalism as the part-time career option along with any other field of work, especially if you deal with electronic media.

Journalists are not the only ones who are reporting on the fields or screen, but they are also those who perform desk jobs like that of a sub-editor, proof-reading, or news producer. Journalism will never exhaust as long as incidents are happening around us which need to be reported.

Mass Communication widens up the horizon of career options for a person. Depending upon personal interest and inclination a mass communication professional can choose a job. Attractive and high-paying jobs as a journalist, actor, director, editor, screenwriter,  RJ,  producer, VJ are available to talented and trained individuals. Those who are interested in electronic media are required to have practical knowledge of video editing. A career in mass communication requires commitment, dedication, and sacrifice of personal time for the sake of staying on the front or top, particularly in the news industry. A journalist may have to work day in and day out to get breaking news. Mass communication as a career provides responsibilities, job satisfaction, name, and fame, and a challenge to live with.
