Battling note for vote a challenge

Note for vote is a very old problem in Tamilnadu, however they are prepared to handle the challenge, said election commissioner Ashok Lavasa. 
Addressing the media persons in Chennai recently, he said all the parties have been unanimous when it came to the need for tackle this old issue. We have posted teams to regulate the flow of money on all main roads. 
The teams have done well, thanks to them that cash worth Rs 270 crore has been apprehended. We could also take into custody jewellery, cash and liquor, he said. 
Speaking about other amenities Ashok said they have put in place electronically transmitted postal ballet system for the services personnel in all 39 parliamentary seats. Voters can call toll-free number 1950 to know the status of their voter id card, polling booth. 
He said number of polling stations in Tamilnadu have been increased to 67720 which is 1,946 more than that of previous elections. While every polling station will have VVPAT machines, CCTV cameras have also been provided there. The proceedings will be webcast through these cameras, he said. We also ensure full access to information of all sorts for the media, he reminded.
Raffale issue
Ashok Lavasa said officials involved in confiscation of books on Raffale deal have been removed while reminding that neither CEO nor any official from Election Commission had authorised the action. 
Investigation is on to find as to who could have given the order. We are waiting for complete report before we can initiate action. The confiscated books have been handed over to the concerned person. 
The matter would be looked into as it has come into limelight, said Ashok Lavasa when he was asked about presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo in advertisements of BSNL, metro train and other public spots. Replying to a query on NaMo TV, he said the matter is being looked into, investigation would be possible after arriving at a conclusion.
Ashok Lavasa was on a three day visit to Tamilnadu. He met representatives of various political parties, nodal officers and police officials during the visit.
