Why Education System in India needs urgent reform
The most important role of our education system is to build a brighter future for our nationās students as professionals and as proud citizens, education system must provide opportunities to every individual to leave through experience and should help to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
In our Indian education system testing and marketing, systems need to be built to recognize original contributions, in form of creativity, problem-solving, valuable original research, and innovation.
India needs to embrace the internet and technology if it has to teach all of its huge population, the majority of which is located in remote villages. We may have the most number of engineering graduates in the world, but that certainly has not translated into much technological innovation here. The goal of the education system should be to create entrepreneurs, innovators, artists, scientists, thinkers, and writers who can establish the foundation of a knowledge-based economy rather than the low-quality services provider nation that we are turning into. Right from policies to the mindset of people who give privileges to percent only.
Today education is nothing but a passport to gave a renowned identity in the local conservative society. That doesnāt depend upon how well you are educated and how much knowledge do you have. If you are not even well educated then also you have a multitude of opportunities to achieve success in life. Our education system limits the students in the knowledge gaining process and only focuses on grades. But these grades can be achieved through proper understanding or memorizing without knowing the actual concept of the subject or topic.
Education has the responsibility of preserving, transmitting, and enriching positive components of our composite cultural heritage in all the fields like architecture, medical, science, sports, trade, commerce, dance, and so on. Students must be allowed to follow what they aspire to become. Every Human being that is born has remarkableĀ potential. Everyone has a goal to achieve success. But that potential can never be fully utilizedĀ if we do not have access toĀ high-quality education or has access to technologies that would help connect a person to valuableĀ knowledgeĀ and information. Potential starts with the human mind and for that theoretical knowledge is not enough we need practical knowledge as well.
When people don’t believe there are problems with education, they will never solve the problems with education. This is why these problems have persisted for so long. Education should teach one to think logically for themselves. We tend to identify education with just exams and scores. But education should teach one how to learn on their own, be more moral and empathetic and reasonable.
