While one course launched is PG Diploma in Aviation Management, the other course is a PG diploma in Production Management.
These two programs are bound to have relevance amidst a situation where the union government is keen on giving a boost to the aviation sector.
The impetus is on enhancing regional air connectivity through programs like UDAAN. Added to this, stress is also on promoting Make in India in the defense sector besides ensuring the promotion of aircraft Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) segment.
All these would ensure good job prospects in various sectors related to civil aviation. The courses introduced by HAL Management Academy would be of relevance as these courses will prepare the candidates to be absorbed by the civil aviation sector.
Sources further say HAL Management Academy has been successfully offering an executive post-graduate diploma in aviation management (PGDAM) since 2018.
Taking a cue from the success of that program, HAL Management Academy went ahead to offer more such programs.
Subsequently, HAL Management Academy had applied for permission with AICTE for approval of these two courses.
AICTE granted approval to the two programs offered by HAL Management Academy after intensive scrutiny.
The two new courses are for graduates in engineering, sciences and computer science. They are of two-year duration and the last date to apply for is 31 July.

The sources further say the fees for the courses by HAL Management Academy are about Rs 6 lakhs which includes hostel and mess charges.
Based on the evolving situation, the academy will offer subjects for the first semester through online real-time interactive classrooms if required.
The admission into these programs by HAL Management Academy will be through written test followed by interview either in person or online depending on COVID-19 situation.
