VELAMMAL GROUP’S CELEBRATED FOUNDER’S DAY

A euphoric Founder’s Day celebration was held at Velammal Matriculation School, Paruthipattu, Tiruvallore district, a member of Velammal group of educational institutions Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya, participated as Chief Guest to the function. The students from LKG to IXth Std., took initiative of mobilizing funds and donated rice, pulses, and other grocery items to Sevalaya kitchen. While donating the students said they derive a pleasure in giving.

The chief guest to the event, Mr. V. Muralidharan delivered his speech and blessed the children through his words .Excerpts from his speech: “Sevalaya, for the past 30 years, has been serving rural poor, by giving free and quality education. Rural people, destitute children and destitute elders are benefited by its consistent services.

To cite a couple of representative cases to explain the impacts of its services: One man named Ilayaraja, had lost his father at a very young age. He stayed in Sevalaya’s hostel, studied well and completed his Schooling, availing all the help. Later making use of Sevalaya’s help, he pursued Engineering Course, and got placed. Now, he is employed in a global IT Major M/s. Capgemini Ltd., at a high position. He is also a member of the Board of Trustee, and serves Sevalaya too.


Another to quote: Ms. Narmada, a daughter of a petty vegetable shop in Pakkam, Tiruvallore district, studied in Sevalaya School, completed her School final and subsequently pursued Medical graduation course. Now, she is a qualified Medical Practitioner. Similarly, Sevalaya could impact a positive change in the lives of many poor dwellers”.

He further inspired the students to study well and bring glory to their institution. He also added that his son is an alumnus of Velammam Group of Institutions and got placed in M/s. Infosys after graduation. Concluding his speech, he shared a point that the Founder of Velammal Group of Institutions, was an ardent supporter of Sevalaya and recalled his generous help to Sevalaya.
