Oath ceremony by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development

Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) –an institution of national importance by Act of Parliament conducted oath ceremony of the student’s council 2017-18 on October 16th in Sriperumbudur. Prof. M.M. Goel, Director, RGNIYD thanked the students for electing their representatives in a most democratic manner and administered the oath of office to the chairperson and members of the student’s council as he addressed the present audience at the inaugural of the event. Prof.Goel   shared the ideas  in the book “Don’t Eat the Marshmallow Yet” by Joachim de Posada & Ellen Singer (2005) which reveals the secrets of sweet success in work and life. “ We need to use the valuable principles of success including applied knowledge as power bestowed upon by ‘Sarasvati’, wait for the right moment, keep the promise and think for long term in the knowledge economy of today, added Prof. Goel.
To get what we want from the people around us, we must have a desire to help, cooperate and support with zero coefficient of distrust, believes Prof.Goel.

As the chairperson of the student’s council, Dr. Gireesan Dean Students Welfare (DSW)  administered the youth pledge to the members.
Earlier Dr. Gireesan welcomed the gathering for the ceremony on the occasion including Professor Vasanthi Rajinderan, DAA  and other faculty members . Ms Sneha George, a student of M. Sc Applied Psychology proposed the vote of thanks.
