The whole nation was struck shocked when the news of attack on CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) in Pulwama surfaced on 14th November. Citizens since then have been in turmoil, anger, sorrow and resignation.   And in response there have been various Candle March and protests across the nation including Gwalior.

Students of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) conducted a candle march for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for us. Major participation was from the youth chanting slogans for the braves and asking for a strong reply from the government to the terrorist group which is functioning from PAK. The youth is eagerly waiting for the next surgical strike. The chants of “Inquilab” and “Vande Matram” in the march challenged the mass for an awakening.

On 14 February 2019, terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked the CRPF convey in Pulwama killing 40 CRPF jawans when an explosive laden truck rammed the convey. This is being considered as one of the biggest terrorist attack in recent years. The country is mourning the death of the braves and sending their regards to the families. The Government is conducting several meetings and conferences with the military officials to find a reason of the lack of security and discussing further steps. Several political parties and politicians are conveying their condolences to the martyrs but the question still remains will the Government respond with a second surgical strike and if so, is it a relevant solution to terrorism that hangs like a sword over our heads.
