IET Accreditation for SRM Deemed to be University

The Institution of Engineering and technology which has been founded 145 years ago as a nonprofit charitable institution happens to be one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The IET is recognized around the world as an indicator of quality through the Washington and Sydney accords.
Governed by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA), the IET is the International engineering accreditation body licensed by the Engineering counsel-UK.
If we look across the globe, IET marked its presence by accrediting global universities and the list goes beyond 60 taking in loop The Imperial College London and The University of Leeds.
This accreditation being an internationally recognized benchmark is awarded to high-quality programs that provide an ideal preparation for aspiring professional engineers and now SRM a deemed to be University has made to the list of accredited institutes.
Mr. Ian Mercer, head international operations, IET handed over the accreditation certificate to the chancellor of SRMIST, Dr.T.R. Paarivendhar serving the purpose of the function organized by IET, UK which was attended by SRM management team, Mr. Raghavan- Regional Head of The IET, Deans, Directors and Head of Departments from SRMIST along with the IET Accreditation Coordinators of the Departments.
“The key outcome of this accreditation will allow better international mobility, job prospects and acceptance for graduate students in foreign universities and also opportunities for interdisciplinary research as well as exchange.” –were the words that escaped the mouth of the chancellor as he collected the certificate.
