A Micro- conference on Biomaterials at HCAS

The Hindustan College of Arts and Sciences, Microbiology Department, had organized a one day conference on “Emerging trends in Biomaterials and its applications for societal needs”. The chief guest for the inauguration was Dr. N. Mathivanan, Director, CAS in Botany, Senate member, University of Madras. Special address during the inauguration was given by Dr. Susan Marthandan, Director, HCAS.

Felicitation address was given by Dr. S. Thirumagan, Principal, HCAS. Key Note address during the conference was given by Dr. A. Ganesh Kumar, NIOT. Invited speakers from various institutions shared  their scientific findings during the one day program. Dr. S. Subramanian, Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry, University of Madras was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function.

Scientists, research scholars and students from different parts of the country participated in the event. During the scientific session competitions like oral presentation and poster presentation were conducted and certificates were given. The inauguration and valediction was delivered by the convener for the conference Dr. S. Illanjiam, Dean, School of Sciences. Prizes were awarded to the best in reach findings.
