CG top official visits Chennai

Chennai turned centre of attraction recently as far as Indian Coast Guard is concerned. Director General of Indian Coast Guard Rajendra Singh visited Chennai on 1 June. 

The top official visited Chennai to review the operational preparedness to meet enhanced maritime security challenges in Tamil Nadu on account of recent developments in the neighborhood. 


Nine Coast Guard ships, two dornier aircraft and three Chetak helicopters participated in the simulated coastal security exercise off Chennai which was witnessed by DG of Indian Coast Guard. 

In addition, the Coast Guard Chief also inaugurated Watermanship and Training Swimming Pool at Meenambakkam coast guard residential area which will cater to the needs of coast guard personnel for search and rescue training and for maintaining sea fitness.

Rajendra Singh met all officers, enrolled personnel and coast guard civilians at lunch and discussed various administration and welfare activities.
