Selvam appointed member of the Advisory Board TNSDA

The Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, in order to encourage and motivate young sports persons has appointed Mr. G.V. Selvam, Vice President, VIT as a member on its Advisory Board as per the G.O. Section 2. No.8 on 4th March 2019 by the Principal Secretary, Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority is instrumental in promoting the state-of-the-art infrastructure and appropriately plans and executes various sports schemes as a token of encouragement and wide participation by many schools and the sports persons including the general public. In order to further motivate and revitalise and for the benefit of the youngsters, the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority has appointed Mr. G.V. Selvam, Vice President, VIT as a member of the Advisory Board of Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority.
Functional Roles of the Advisory Board:
- To coordinate and facilitate the use of infrastructure and make available the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund and Employment opportunities for the betterment of sports persons
- To make available the medical aid as a support to all sports persons
- To facilitate the sports persons from respective districts and to utilise the available infrastructure in non-governmental organisations
- To arrange high-tech training and coaching for deserving and talented sports persons
- To regulate the available Corporate Social Responsibility Fund for the development of infrastructure on par with international standards, train and coach with standard sports equipment in order to participate and represent in international sports meet
- To encourage non-governmental organisations to provide employment opportunities and give cash awards
- To conduct training sessions in order to update the sports persons on recent international sports technology in their respective fields and to help them utilise this technology.
The Advisory Board of Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority aims to assist the Tamil Nadu sports persons to win accolades in the forthcoming international events including Olympics.
