Battlegrounds Mobile India was recently released by Krafton for all Android users in India. The game was released about a year after PUBG was banned in India, and it has been positively welcomed. Battlegrounds Mobile India is now only accessible for Android users, but it has already surpassed the ten million download milestone. The game will also be available for iOS devices shortly, according to the creator, though no specific date has been set. The success of BGMI is unsurprising given that it’s simply PUBG with a few minor elements removed.

Battlegrounds Mobile India may have only been available for a few days in India. However, the game received over 10 million downloads on the Google Play Store in that period. As a result, the game is now the store’s “Top Free Game.” It is also presently ranked second in the list of the ‘Top Grossing Games,’ trailing only Garena Free Fire. The amount of Battlegrounds Mobile India downloads will continue to rise over time. It’s worth noting that the game had over 20 million re-registrations prior to its official release.

Of course, everyone who has been following the Battlegrounds Mobile India story knows that such large numbers are to be expected. The game was abruptly banned by the Indian government, citing security and privacy concerns. It was one of the most popular games in the country at the time. As a result, many players were disappointed by the decision. As a result, when Krafton announced the launch of PUBG Mobile India in November, enthusiasm was at an all-time high. However, the launch was once again postponed.

After a few months, Krafton stated that the game would return, although under a different name: Battlegrounds Mobile India. The game would be practically identical to PUBG Mobile, with a few tweaks to reduce the violence and counteract the game’s apparent addictive nature. The new game will be available only in India and will feature exclusive events and in-game goodies.
