Dulquer Salmaan to play Lieutenant Ram in Swapna Cinema’s Untitled 1964 Period Love Story During War
Popular pan India, film star Dulquer Salmaan, will be playing a soldier in a big multi-lingual starrer from the renowned film makers Swapna Cinema. A period love story set in 1964, the untitled film will be directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and presented by the iconic Vyjayanthi Movies.
The makers of the film launched the concept poster on Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday on Tuesday. In this, Dulquer is shown as an army man in a silhouette image, in which the depiction of two hands joining embodies his romantic side.
He will be essaying the role of ‘Lieutenant Ram’, in this Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film. The concept poster released wishing the star a happy birthday, has a tagline “Yuddham Tho Rasina Prema Katha” in Telugu “Yuddathodoppam Ezhuthapetta Lieutenant Raminte Pranaya Katha” in Malayalam and in Tamil its “Ranuva Veeran Ram Poruttri Ezhuthiya Kadhal Kathai”.
Set in the backdrop of “Love in the war”, the captivating facet of the film is that it will have music by Vishal Chandrashekar.
Produced by Priyanka Dutt under Swapna Cinemas, Vyjayanthi Movies is presenting the film.
Just prior to this announcement, Vyjayanthi Movies had declared another big budget multi-starrer with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. In addition, Vyjayanthi has another movie in the offing to be directed by Nandini Reddy besides Jathi Ratnalu which is nearing completion.
Dulquer Salmaan and Vyjayanthi Movies teamed up earlier in the blockbuster biopic film Mahanati / Nadigaiyer Thilagam, which won several national awards. Dulquer Salman’s last film Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante in South Indian Languages was among the most watched films and a hit.
