5 Tips to Prevent Grey hair

One of the negative outcomes of our modern lifestyle is grey hair. Some people feel intimidated because of their grey strands. There are several reasons behind the increase of grey hair- genetics, hormones, stress, deficiency of melanin, medical conditions, smoking, etc.
Even though there are many factors causing the problem, there are also ways in which we can prevent grey hair. The following are a few tips for avoiding grey hair.
1. Onion and lemon juice pack
Everyone can frequently use onion paste for hair care as it’s one of the ancient remedies to prevent greying.
Mix the onion paste and lemon juice and apply this on your scalp and hair. Let it stay for a minimum of 30 minutes and then wash your hair with or Shikakai powder or a (mild) shampoo.
2. Henna and egg hair pack
Henna is known for its colorant properties. It can also reduce premature greying. Combining henna with egg and curd gives us an excellent, healthy remedy.
Add an egg to 2 tablespoons of henna powder. Also, mix the combination with 1 tablespoon plain curd. Apply this paste to your roots and all over the hair strands. Then you can remove the pack after 20-30 minutes by washing with water.
- Shikakai Powder
It is known for softening the texture of hair, increasing hair growth, and it also prevents white hair.
Grind 5 or 6 Shikakai pods in the mixer. Add half a cup of curd to it and mix well. Use it on your hair and let the mixture rest for about 15-20 minutes. Later you can wash it with water.
If you prefer to not engage in this work, you can also use readymade shikakai powder.
- Mixture- Curry leaves with coconut oil
Coconut oil has tremendous benefits for hair care (aids in the growth of strong hair) and it’s also a natural conditioner. Curry leaves is an ingredient that is advised to be consumed to replenish your hair growth. The combo of these items can help in maintaining the color of hair as black.
Start by boiling the curry leaves (a handful) in 1 cup of coconut oil for about 8 minutes. Then let the oil mixture come to room temperature and then apply it in your scalp, hair ends.
Repeat this process on a regular basis to obtain great results.
- Fenugreek Seeds
The two best qualities of Fenugreek is that it helps in retaining the natural hair color and it reduces hair loss.
All we need is two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and 1/4 cup of water. Soak the fenugreek seeds in water overnight. The next day, mix the seeds with the required amount of water (add enough water to get an even and consistent paste) and grind. Massage this mixture to your roots and hair; let it be for about 40 minutes. Then you can wash your hair with a mild shampoo or shikakai powder.
