Stand alone X-Ray machines to be used

Stand alone X-Ray machines will be used at Chennai Airport’s international terminal. According to sources, this will be a temporary measure until the new In-Line Baggage Screening System (ILBS) is commissioned. 

Sources further say the usage of x-ray machines will be there for a period of three months. ILBS modification work is going on at the international terminal currently. The sources from airport reminded that additional manpower will be deployed near the x-ray machines to assist senior citizens in handling heavy luggage. 

While the airport authorities have requested the co-operation from passengers for early commissioning of ILBS, they also said travellers can contact airport manager (international) at 044-22563600/01 and 8056220077 in case of any inconvenience. Passengers can also send an e-mail to ‘[email protected]‘ in case of any inconvenience.
