Annual inspection in Salem division

It is a time of activity at Southern Railway as its General Manager R K Kulshrestha conducted annual inspection in Salem division. He reviewed the division’s performance and visited major stations namely Erode, Coimbatore.
U.Subbarao, divisional railway manager, Salem division and principal heads of departments and other officers accompanied the general manager during inspection of Erode, Ingur, Tiruppur, Irugur and Coimbatore.
At Erode, Kulshrestha inspected Bridge No. 386, Running Room, circulating area app based CAB stand, railway hospital, newly constructed parking area for staff, lift and escalators.
Safety book on SPAD (Signal passed at Danger) educating staff were released by the General Manager and inaugurated (MDDT) Multi-Disciplinary Divisional Training Institute there. At Ingur, General Manager inspected the station, residential colony, gang rest room, ladies rest room.
At Tiruppur, Kulshrestha inspected the new parcel office, Information Center and OHE depot and conducted speed train trial between Tiurppur and Irgur. He also interacted with passenger associations and commuters at various railway stations and received their representations and assured that the issues will be looked into.
Speaking to the media persons at Erode and Tiruppur railway stations general manager Kulshrestha informed about the development works taking place in Salem division and its current status.
At Coimbatore, General Manager inspected the circulating area, winded subway, newly constructed AC waiting hall, and reviewed the performance of Uday Express crew.
He will also laid the foundation stone for Officers Rest House. During the course of inspection, he declared cash awards to outstanding employees and distributed merit certificates on the spot.
