Life under lockdown can be rough. One cannot go out. There is no school, no college. Shopping malls and complexes are closed so are pubs and clubs.

No theme parks or stadiums for one to go out and watch their favorite club defeat their rivals. Sometimes staying home all day can make a person somber than usual.

So, many young people started taking up their old and forgotten hobbies and passions. Painting, sketching, scribbling and other work of arts are the most popular among the millennial youth.

Many students who are being stuck in their homes due to lockdown have started indulging themselves in their childhood hobbies and interest.

One such young man with much creativity is Kaushal Singh. Kaushal Singh is a 3rd year student of Amity University, Gwalior, and pursuing b tech in mechanical engineering.

He has found out his inner talent of making beautiful portraits in this period of lockdown. When asked about his paintings, he said, β€œYes so I am doing this painting and drawing because as we all know its tough time and what is even tougher is to pass this tough time.

That’s my motivation behind doing all this.” He also said, β€œI’m drawing since very long time I mean from school days, but I actually painted portrait for first time.

The moment I stop getting pleasure out of it I just move for other activity… But yes drawing remains one of my favorite things.”

Another such creative artist is Tamanna Kumari, a student of 2nd year from Amity University, Gwalior, and pursuing b tech in Computer Science.

She was already a famous artist in her college because of her fabulous work with paints and colors. She continued her passion for art during lockdown and continued working on different projects.

She said, β€œArt for me is a way to hide pain and express it silently. Whenever I’m happy I fill a plain paper with colors… whenever I’m sad i scribble over it…and each time, the result is manifesting.”

And during this lockdown I have restarted working on my drawings and sketching.”
