GGPL forays into global markets

Goodrich Gasket Private Limited (GGPL), a leader in gaskets industry in Asia Pacific commenced its operations in South East Asia and Middle East. The company has also announced to invest Rs 150 crores for its global operations.

Sources say, the company’s office in Chennai will serve as a hub for its services across globe. Flosil Group is in the process of setting up a fastener manufacturing, a forging and casting plants in their existing 10-acre Kelambakkam facility.

While the expansion across the globe has taken place, the company will also ramp up their existing product line to meet the growing demand of oil and gas market.

Ashwin Rathod, Group Managing Director, Flosil Group of Companies, said they take immense pride to announce these new business developments which would be in the global map especially in the Middle East and South East Asian markets.

The company has already initiated the process of establishing the plant to cater to the requirements of global leader such as Aramco in Saudi Arabia, Petronas, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and other renowned player in South East Asia and Middle East, he said.

Arun Rathod, Chief Executive Officer, Goodrich Gasket Private Limited and Flosil – Bet Coatings (India) said the company which entered into a joint venture agreement with the Malaysian based company to manufacture high performance industrial coatings apart from the initial investment the company is looking  forward to invest around Rs.25 crores for its future expansion.

Goodrich Gasket has been recognised for its commitment and has carved 32 year road map in delivering quality services to its customers with sustainable market strategy and unique product portfolios. Apart from the above, the group has recently acquired three companies in the area of digital marketing, cyber security and sports entertainment.

The company plans to import advanced machineries and introduce latest technologies to improve the current product lines. With this, Goodrich Gasket aims to reach Rs.1000 crore within a decade in the gasket business by tapping the untapped potential in the domestic and overseas markets.

The company with a workforce of over 100 personnel has tied up with the top institutes in India to impart training in the latest technologies to their technical workforce. The company also plans to employ around 500 skilled workers for R&D, manufacturing, supply chain and the overall general management functional areas, say sources.
