Award for young women achievers

To encourage young women achievers MOP Vaishnav College for women has instituted MOP Yuva Samman Award. It will be conferred upon three women achievers every year.

Dr. Lalitha Balakrishnan, the principal of the college, said, “This award is not only to identify young woman achievers but also to boost up girls to do something different and set an example in the male-dominated society.”

These awardees will receive a citation of Rs. 1 lakh so that they are encouraged to pursue their journey of excellence. These young women aged between 20 to 35 years have done outstanding work in the field of sports, literature, performing arts, entrepreneurship, journalism, etc. They can apply through the college website. The last date for submission is Dec 10.2017.

Please find the conditions for eligibility:

1.       The applicant must be a citizen of India.

2.       She should be between 20-35 years as on 1st January of the current year at the time of nomination.

3.       She should have done extraordinary identifiable work in the field.

4.       The award will be conferred once in a lifetime.
