The International Professors’ Visiting Programme of Asia University, Taiwan Was Held in HCAS

The International Professors’ visiting programme of Asia University, Taiwan was held today at HCAS premises that was organized by social work department. Students and faculties of social work department participated in the said event.

Deputy Director, Dr. VJ Phillip, spoke stressing the importance of academic exchanges in furthering higher education. He spoke more on uniqueness of this program and the importance of Asia University and what HCAS could offer to students and faculties.

It started with prayer that was sung by the department of social work choir and welcome address was given by Mrs.Sakthi Prabha, Dean & HOD Department of Social Work. She introduced the visiting professors and spoke on current academic exchange and said how this academic exchange benefits both and said more on time she spent at Taiwan in Asia University.

The Special address was given by Dr. Shou Chuhan Liao, Associate Professor of Department of Social Work who spoke on career opportunities in Taiwan and what one can benefit from a study in his university. Social workers are in great demand due to complexities of modern societies and it benefits as it makes societies to run smoothly and is in need in industry commerce education and service sector, he emphasized.

Dr. Jing Doo Wang Associate Prof Social Work and Computer Science & Information Engineering, in his address, outlined study options in social work and computer engineering and opportunities to study or work in developed countries like Taiwan or India USA and etc. Dr. Hong Ju Kuo of Asia University Taiwan echoed similar sentiments and Indian student Mrs. Jhansi of Asia University explained her experiences

The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Bahiman Deka of II MSW President Steps Forum thanking all for making this a grand success and a cultural program followed.
