Mizoram Board Examination to resume on July 1

The Mizoram government has stated that the remaining class 12 board exams 2020 will now be held between July 1 and 3. Class 12 board exams 2020 were suspended midway due to COVID-19 pandemic and now is decided that it will happen in the above dates.  

Final board examinations of Higher Secondary School leaving Certificate (HSSLC) for remaining subjects of all three streams arts, science, and commerce fixed in March were postponed and supposed to be conducted by April 22 after the orders of the central government for complete lockdown in the country.

These MBSE (HSSLC) exams were then again postponed to be conducted on June 16, but due to an increasing number of COVID cases all over the state, they have again declared complete lockdown till June 22.

Now according to revised schedule exams will be conducted between July 1 and 3 as said by Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) on Tuesday.

Approximately 4700 students were not able to give their exams of Sociology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Home science.

MBSE (HSSLC) exams were smoothly conducted as always but got shifted in March for the first time due to inappropriate consequences of the COVID epidemic. MBSE earlier, declared exams to restart from April 22 to April 24.

But the situations went more and more wrong day by day. According to the notifications issued by the central government for the nationwide lockdown, authorities followed the appeals by the central government, and exams were again rescheduled to be conducted from June 16.

The compartmental exams for class 10 will also be conducted on July 1, as said by the notifications.
