MEC to organise info-session in Chennai

Mahindra Ecole Centrale College of Engineering (MEC) will organise information session in Chennai for B.Tech aspirants on 2 February. The students willing to study B.Tech can obtain information about admission into the college’s B.Tech programme for the academic year 2020-2024 on that day.

The information session will be held at Hotel GRT Grand located at 120, Sir Thyagaraja Road at T.Nagar in Chennai. The session will be a daylong one and will take place from 10 am to 5 pm.

Dr. Venkata Dilip Kumar Pasupuleti of the School of Engineering Sciences at MEC along with Mr. Rakesh Sreedharan, Head – Admissions at MEC will take the students and their guardians through a session on engineering as a career and address the queries of the participants.

Rakesh Sreedharan said their focus is on creating awareness of different avenues available today to students when they choose engineering as a career.

The sessions will showcase MEC and its very different, holistic education concepts of engineering to students. Key aspects of education at MEC focus on multi-disciplinary knowledge, personality development and critical-creative thinking.

MEC has a total of 240 seats available in its B.Tech Programme, they are 60 each for the four courses namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

The students who have a 10+2 or equivalent from any statutory board with 60% aggregate marks in all subjects or equivalent grade for the students from IB or other approved Board are eligible to apply for the seats.

The admissions will be granted on the basis of either JEE Mains (Qualify in JEE Main examination, eligible to write the JEE Advanced 2020 exam) or SAT Subject Test scores (minimum 1800 in subjects which should include Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
