IHM Chennai has been ranked No.1 in the Country and No.13 in the World under the best ‘Hospitality and Hotel Management Schools’ for the year 2023 by CEOWORLD MAGAZINE, USA. The ranking is based on evaluation, which uses seven scientific metrics and parameters for a total score of 100 points, which include Perceived Global Brands Influence (20%), Recruiters Responses (20%), Employers Feedback (10%), Job
Placement Rate (10%), Admission Eligibility (10%), Specialization (10%), and Academic Reputation (20%).CEOWORLD MAGAZINE, USA has been ranking us for the past seven years. Interestingly, the Institute was ranked No.38 in 2016. It then moved up to 34th rank in 2017. Gradually the Institute progressed to the 28th position during 2018. By adopting newer pedagogical methods, the Institute saw a raise in academic outcome that resultedin securing 24th rank in 2019. In 2020, the Institute saw a fillip to its ranking by obtaining the 22nd position. The ranking body truly recognized our innovative teaching-learning technological rigour and placed us in the 18th position in 2021. It was yet another significant progress in 2022 as we were ranked 14th in the world. In 2023, we see a steady growth as we are ranked No.13.

The admissions to the M.Sc. Hospitality Administration and B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration degree programme is through a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the candidates can register for the exam at https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in.
