The most debated Article 370 is now history, but the debate it managed to generate since the day of its inception can never go out of our memories. The discussion among sections who stood in support of it and against it was always intense.

For not all agreed that Article 370 did good. Post revoking too, Article 370 is managing to generate good deal of debate. Amidst, this eminent people from Chennai gave their opinions on the historic move by central government.

Central government’s measure will generate debates, but will also usher in progress, says Mahesh Verma, a popular astrologer. Gates to reformation will be opened in Kashmir. More sensational decisions are likely to be made in future, they may have their ramifications, but it will not take long to regulate them.

The move is towards establishing peace in Jammu and Kashmir, says hotelier Nina Reddy. The present government at the Centre has achieved what the administrations in the past could not. A concept of one nation, one law will get a firm footing.

Activist Babita Chopra says invalidation of Article 370 has managed to generate enough trouble, solving the complex issue of Jammu and Kashmir has become a challenge for us, but now chances for resolving Kashmir issue are high.

Jammu and Kashmir will now turn into a tourism destination on an international level, says Jayantilal Challani, managing director, Challani Jeweller Mart. Industrialist Bhairulal Nahar says the removal of Article 370 will give scope for investment and development in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Revoking Article 370 is a step in the right direction. Cancelling the popular article is in a way in tandem with the vision of leaders like Shyamaprasad Mukherji, says Gautam Kharival, social activist.
