The best way to discourage unfriendly neighbours from unfolding their nefarious designs against our nation is to hasten modernisation of our armed forces...

As the election was over and the new government has taken charge of this nation, good deal of attention must be on equipping our three watch dogs with the best of technologies, equipments.

The age old tensions we have with China and Pakistan have already given a clarion call for modernisation of our armed forces. The latest event to do the same is Balakot. This points towards our Air Force modernisation in particular.

We should ensure lessons learn’t from transborder activities like Balakot are not forgotten. Without a doubt it can give an outline for the future. The way Indian Air Force did the job during the Balakot strikes was praiseworthy.

But the need for technological supremacy was increasingly felt. If we had that we could have could have made them pay. For many years our IAF has been asking for more advanced aircraft and it is yet to receive it.

China on the other hand is said to be making a steadfast progress towards its military modernisation. It also was successful in enhancing local production of equipments, technologies needed for its armed forces. Staying weak on the defence front encourages enemies to show themselves on our soil.

A strong armed forces is the need of the hour, make them potent by equipping them with latest technologies, weapons.
