Victory adorns SRMIST men team

Ball badminton team (men) of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) won the 27th N.Balasubramania Mudaliar Memorial State level ball badminton tournament. The sporting event was organised by R.S.Puram Club of COimbatore recently.

According to sources, SRMIST team emerged winner in the tournament when MBBC Mangainallur S team were runners up. Himalaya Sports Club Tirupur got third place in the tournament and fourth place went to TRC RS Puram team. SRMIST team defeated TBBC team of Tanjore with a score of 35-22, 35-28 in the quarter finals round of the tournament.

In the league matches of the tournament, SRMIST team won over Himalaya Sports Club Tiruppur with a score of 35-33, 35-31, MBBC Mangaiyanallur with a score of 35-19, 35-27 and TRC R.S. Puram Club of Coimbatore with a score of 35-34, 35-32. V.Kodiarasan of SRMIST team won the Best Player award.
