The eleventh induction day for B. Tech courses of SRMIST, Vadapalani

The eleventh induction day for B. Tech courses of SRMIST, Vadapalani was held on 28 th June 2019. The programme commenced with an invocation followed by lighting of kuthuvillakku. Dr.K.Duraivelu, Dean (E & T), SRMIST, Vadapalani campus, welcomed the gathering. 

He highlighted on the special features of SRMIST, Vadapalani campus like academic ranks, placement records etc. Dr.T.V.Gopal, Director Admissions, SRMIST, expressed that there is a huge demand for Computer Science Engineering. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is most sought after by the students.

He highlighted on the fact that AI can be studied even through other courses. He told that the recruiters look for analytical skills, communication ability and decision making skills. He advised the students to hold on to their passion. He wished the students all the very best.Prof N.Sethuraman, Registrar, SRMIST, asked the students to explore all the possibilities.

He advised the students to listen to their interests and act accordingly. He also reassured the fact that all the campuses of SRMIST are equally best and competitive in providing quality education. Dr.Sandeep Sancheti, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, delivered the inaugural address. He said the most important aspect of any engineering graduate is to be an efficient engineer.

He also said that change is only constant. Real intelligence is very important for all engineers. Ability to learn anything at anytime is the order of the day. Engineering remains to be the foundation for career growth. He highlighted on the awards and accolades received by SRMIST in the field of education. He gave information about various opportunities available for the budding engineers.

Mr.M.Sakthivel, Final Year B.Tech. CSE appreciated the efforts of faculty of SRMIST in widening his knowledge about computer science.Mr. Jaiakaash, ECE, expressed that he was able to do many projects with the help of faculty and professional bodies like IET, IEEE etc. 

Ms.R.Swarna, Final year Mechanical student, valued the activities of the department in moulding her as a mechanical engineer. She also appreciated the faculty for helping her out to do her SAP programme in Sweden.

Mr.A.S.Bhaskar, Manager, Samco Hotels, (Parent) appreciated the efforts of admission committee in getting admission for his daughter in SRMIST, Vadapalani. Mrs.Hasena Taj, Senior Vice President, CITI Bank, appreciated about the friendly attitude of staff and students of SRMIST, Vadapalani. Dr.C.Gomathy, Head, Dept. of ECE proposed the vote of thanks.
